I live near LAX and have a car, a nice guest room, and a flexible schedule. I'll be glad to pick women up from the airport, take them for their health care, and let them recover in my home. I'll even help pay for plane tickets, etc.

I also want to say that as a woman who has been doing reproductive rights work for 50 years I think we made a mistake by not celebrating abortion as a miracle cure (or as has been said, a sacrament) and instead relying on a legal strategy. I recently had a young progressive feminist friend tell me "abortion is always a difficult decision." I responded way too loudly that the day of my first abortion was the best day of my life because it gave me the wonderful life I have been able to have, thanks to California's legal abortion since 1968. (also thanks to the Catholic priest who gave me the money I needed to pay for that abortion!) We allowed abortion to be shameful and sad, and that's part of why the misogynists can win. Both my sons know they owe their lives to legal abortion.

This is fantastic! Just sent it to someone who asked me "What do I do?"
