One possible reason why men are dying of covid19 at a higher rate is that they are getting it at a higher rate because they are more exposed. Anecdotally, as I hide inside my house in Portland Oregon and have things brought to me because I don't want to expose myself more than I have to, I have noticed that the vast majority of grocery and package delivery personnel are men. A super small sample, but if men are doing more of the types of jobs right now that result in higher levels of exposure then it's a possible contributor. My personal example is, being the male partner in a marriage with one daughter living at home, I'm more inclined to go out to do the things that we need done that can't be postponed or ordered on-line and therefore exposing myself more. Statistically irrelevant but maybe points to a contributing factor.
