Why the hell are we in the 21st century yet we are denied the basic right to make medical decisions without patriarchal oversight? Do men know better than we? On what authority do they claim they can force us to carry pregnancies regardless of the health risks?
The misogyny in our county is so deep and so frequently expressed by men in positions of real power. I’m suspicious about this timing, though, on the heels of the Kansas vote. My instinct is that this is a calculated opportunity for radicalized candidates to express opposition to a federal ban in order to appear more moderate than they are.
