Last year, you asked us to name one writer we really admire and why. I said that Daniel Hannan - the brilliant and charming British Conservative - was one writer I really admire.

You know what's sad? He used to love America. It was such a contrast to the dreary old Europe, and he wanted Britain to be more like America.

But now, he has come to dislike America. One of our two main political parties has been co-opted by a populist demagogue, and the Republicans continuously elect stupid and unqualified people to run the country. He also has no patience for Wokeness.

Now, he proudly proclaims he wants his country to be less like America. "No, we're not Americans!"
