They're laying the groundwork to put women and doctors in jail -- or on death row -- at the same time as abortion bans are leaving miscarrying women bleeding out in ERs.
Abbott is pure, unmitigated evil plain and simple. He’s the leader there, and the rest are his good old boy club members beginning with Patrick down. He’s relishing in women bleeding out and dying in pain, guaranteed, that’s the monster he is.
And I don’t say this lightly, he hates women and transgender people the most of anyone even on the MAGA fascist Right- this isn’t a joke, dead serious, DeSantis even trails him on both fronts in second (hard to believe, but true).
DeSantis has the lead on him in their race to the bottom with anti Black sentiment which he’s second in turn trying to succeed Trump (now Abbott has one up’d him as he let DeSantis jump the gun and now he’s in Cruz/Haley nonstarter territory the minute Trump passes away and they hold the next GOP primary when the mad king is gone, he’s positioning himself to go national next if re-elected in 2026, period, his moves are obvious).
It also bears noting that the charge of capital murder for causing a miscarriage is *explicitly* unbiblical:

"And should men brawl and collide with a pregnant woman and her fetus come out but there be no other mishap, he shall surely be punished according to what the woman's husband imposes upon him, he shall pay by the reckoning. And if there is a mishap, you shall pay a life for a life."
In other words, causing a miscarriage is similar to causing an injury - there is a monetary penalty. But causing the death of a woman is on an entirely different plane. This has been abundantly clear to 2,000 years of rabbinic jurisprudence, which generally treats abortion as forbidden unless there is a reason to permit it on a case-by-case basis.
Can we just say the Texas GOP is the most evil of them all at this point, even in the fascist party scariest people in this country- Florida GOP in second even though the Mississippi GOP has worse governance somehow since Reeves governs less than DeSantis.
