All I have to say about Texas' current condition in general, DeSantis blushes and he's his "brother from another mother" as the saying goes while he leads the other 20+ GOP states from that cabal with his boys Patrick, Paxton, Cruz, and Cornyn:
I know you think Vance is any remote threat but I find him to be a Pence in a dull vacuum of subservient today who will not be the next GOP nominee if Trump loses, it has to be someone more evil, smarter, polite on the surface, and dangerous IMO- he fits the bill so far.
If Trump wins, there might be a re-match between him and O'Rourke though, considering he was the only Republican to do worse in a light Red national year than in 2018 in 2022-- that is possible in a Trump second term, given Trump is poisonous to his party, we'll see.
